Phygital Design

During my architectural studies, I engaged in a design experiment aimed at harnessing digital design principles while incorporating real-world materials and architectural concepts. Our objective was to simulate the interaction of typical wood framing elements on an existing platform.

We began by simulating the assembly of these elements and their interaction with each other, envisioning their arrangement as if physically constructed. Subsequently, we applied a boolean operation to carve out a catwalk for digital actors to navigate.

Finally, we analyzed the resulting mass and explored various methods of physically constructing the simulated structure, culminating in a comprehensive examination of the design's feasibility and potential real-world applications.
