Rain - Dynamic Clothing
This motion capture test focused on Metahumans and their associated cloth dynamics. Initially, I customized a Metahuman character, then enlisted a friend to perform motions in our studio's motion capture Rokoko suit. After experimenting with various actions, we settled on a complex interaction involving the character's hood and hand.
Following several takes, I refined the mocap data and imported the animated character into Marvelous Designer. There, I designed a raincoat with a hood and fine-tuned the interaction between the hand and hood. Once satisfied, I simulated the cloth dynamics and transferred everything to Unreal Engine for rendering, utilizing the Niagara rainfall system for added realism.
